This play is a 3 act comedy. It focuses on the life of Barney Cashman. A middle-aged married man with no experience in adultery, he fails in each of three seductions that take place in his mother's apartment - a sexpot who smokes, drinks, and has affairs with other women's husbands, an actress friend who has gone slightly mad, and his wife's best friend, a depressed moralist.
