Dead Man's Cell Phone begins in a café with the ring of the dead man's cell phone. Jean, a stranger near the dead man, answers the phone. She thereby begins the series of small lies that insert her into what had been the dead man's life: his family, his affairs --- both business and extramarital --- and at last his hell.
