An Awkward Bow

A New Play in Three Acts: Written, Directed, and Performed by Students

by Daniel Flesch and Luke Ciancarelli

Poster of An Awkward Bow

“An Awkward Bow” takes place in a small Berkshires town on the day of its Harvest Festival Formal. Coming together for the event is a cast of zany, entertaining, philosophical, and moving characters, many of whom know each other before the action starts. Despite their differences, almost everyone has the same thing on their mind: love–how to lose it, win it, keep it, and above all, express it. Interweaving spoken poetry and prose, the characters’ interactions, insults, jokes, and confessions form the body and soul of this charming, original play.
