Romeo & Juliet

by William Shakespeare

Poster of Romeo & Juliet

Join us as we take a classical journey and turn it on its head, exploring a whole new dimension of Yale theater through a theatrical experience that is not to be missed. At its heart, Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is a story with great momentum; the struggle with separation and reunification – and a love constantly tested by physical distance and overwhelming obstacles – are themes even more resonant through a physical, as well as theatrical, journey. Instead of taking place in one of our typical venues, this R&J will wander Yale’s campus, using the architecture of Hillhouse Avenue as our scenery, and we will bring the audience along as we roam from place to place on the Montague/Capulet journey. Although tickets are sold out, please join us at 17 Hillhouse if you would like to see the play, as there is certainly a chance that space will open up.”I am no pilot; yet, wert thou as farAs that vast shore wash’d with the farthest sea,I would adventure for such merchandise”(Romeo and Juliet, II, ii)
